Drawings of the Figure

Just some more figure drawings. Using pastel on the last ones. I'm editing this post to include two recent drawings the latter of which is the barebones layout for a self-portrait.

This woman was the most awkward figure drawing model I've ever had. She kept looking at me smiling, so I drew her looking mad to compensate.

This project is not only going to be my first real drawing of myself but my first project in which I'm using custom-mixed inks. The general inks you get at the store just don't cut it anymore. I've painted out the basics and will be attacking the rest with my dip pen.
