Hi Nu Gundam Complete

Next model is Sinanju. With school starting and all, I highly doubt it will be finished before the end of summer.

It's a...IT'S A GUNDAM!

It has been an extremely long time since I posted anything model related. With it being a new year and all, I thought it would be a nice time to post some stuff up. Last semester I was so busy with school, I don't think I really ever got a chance to work on a model. The model you'll be seeing is the Hi-Nu Gundam. I think I started this model back during the summer, but I never got past the inner frame. Not having a place to spray paint in also made it extremely difficult to do any model work, but that is what I built my little spray booth for!

I saw a post on Plamo Forum from someone who had the genius idea of using a bathroom ceiling fan as a paint exhaust fan. I'd like to thank whoever posted that on Plamo. I never would have thought of that. Just run the tube out the window and the fan pulls the fumes right out.


I decided that I like the color scheme of the original Nu-Gundam better than the blue/white scheme of the Hi-Nu Gundam. The blue and white just doesn't feel very outer spacey to me.

This is as far as I've gotten on the model thus far. I don't get much time to work on it, but I really don't have too much more work to do.

My Display Case and New Room!

So, I'm living in a new apartment this school year; and I love it! I decided that I should put my head to good use and design my room, so I did what any great artist would do. I called my mom! She visited with my aunt and together they helped me transform my room. The results came out way better than I could have ever imagined! Also, I finally, finally, finally got to install the display case that I've been dreaming of having for about the last 5 years. It's becoming distracting now because I can't stop looking at it.

He's alllll most done! There are still some finishing touches to be added though.


He even gets a wrinkly background! (I'll iron it next time.)

Gundam 00 Raiser!

So, here are some older pics of my work on the 1/100 Gundam 00 and the 0 Raiser. I will do a better job of documenting with the later kits. I swear! I didn't do nearly as much 'documentation of process,' as I would have liked; but without Internet access for so long, I suppose my dedication suffered. But, I'll explain my process a bit more in the future if anyone even reads this crap. Word. Pics!


So I had picked up the 00 Gundam kit before I went to Japan, but I never got around to finishing him. He was a very sad unfinished model indeed..

This is 00 once again. Just with a few decals applied. I started applying decals before I was done painting the whole kit which was probably a bad idea.. but I really wanted to see the decals! I advise painting, then decals, then matt spraying. Finished kit in my next post!

Back Home

After a much needed journey of epic proportions, I am back in Michigan. The trip to Japan was eye opening for sure. I'm sad I had to leave so soon, but it's nice knowing that I'll go back soon. I'll be back in Chicago soon to start working on my army of Gundams ^_^ For about the next three months this blog is going to be overflowing with nerd posts. So, I'm just warning you now. I think my first project will be:

1/100 Scale Raiser



I've already got Gundam 00 back in Chi. So, I figure, i'll deck him out first with this kit. More to come on the build.

IT'S A GUNDAM!!!
My inner 6 year old was seizing at this point.

I'm not totally sure how many people shot me the link for the real life Gundam, but it had to be at least 10 people. I think it's funny that people think there is anyway in hell that a real Gundam could be built without me knowing. However, I do appreciate the support. LOL! I've known about this thing for several months now, but on June 26th. I saw a real Gundam. I really don't know how much of the awesomeness I can express through words, but believe me. That thing is sooooooo sweet!! 35 Tons of Gundam standing like 65 feet tall T___T
